Nintendo Confirms The Super Mario Galaxy Movie for 2026
Nintendo has officially confirmed the sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which brought the beloved video game hero to the big screen in 2023. The new film, titled “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie”, is set to hit theaters worldwide on April 3, 2026.

Inspired by the Legendary Super Mario Galaxy Game
The title pays tribute to the hugely popular Super Mario Galaxy game, first released in 2007 for the Nintendo Wii. Its sequel, Super Mario Galaxy 2, launched in 2010. Alongside the movie announcement, Nintendo has re-released both games, hinting that the film’s storyline may be connected to their universe and adventures.
