Breaking Bad Actor Arrested – But Not for Drugs
Raymond Cruz, best known for playing Tuco Salamanca in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, was arrested this week in Los Angeles after a peculiar dispute with a neighbor.
According to TMZ, Cruz was taken into custody after being accused of intentionally spraying a neighbor’s daughter with a hose while washing his car in Silverlake. The alleged victim refused to move out of the way, and prosecutors claim that Cruz deliberately turned the water jet on her.
Court Appearance Scheduled
Although Raymond Cruz was arrested and taken to a local LAPD station, he has since been released. However, he is required to appear in court on October 1st, when potential penalties will be determined.
-
Since the case is considered a misdemeanor, it’s unlikely that he will face prosecution by the District Attorney.
-
Typically, such cases result in a chamber hearing with a judge.
-
If found guilty, Cruz may be sentenced to community service or anger management courses.
Importantly, the actor has no prior criminal record and has never been involved in similar incidents. In past interviews, Cruz has mentioned growing up around violence in East Los Angeles, which he used as inspiration for some of his most intense roles.
