The announcement of the Xiaomi 15 line for the end of October in the Chinese market is no longer news, but the company decided to bring the process forward and reveal the smartphone's design. In a post on the Chinese social network Weibo, Xiaomi showed the designs of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, which are similar to their predecessors.
► iPhone 16 and iPhone 15: what changes in Apple's new phones?
The Xiaomi 15 is minimalist and maintains the essence of the previous generation with some new touches. The aluminum casing remains, as do the slightly rounded edges on the sides and a square camera module on the rear with Leica technology. The only difference is the flash's position outside this set.
Instead of a flash, the manufacturer has incorporated a Laser AF module, designed to measure the distance between the camera and the elements to be captured, which makes it easier to adjust the focus. Visually, there are few changes, but this should mean improvements in photographs and filming in practical use.
♦ Xiaomi 15 Specifications:
The company has not released additional information about the Xiaomi 15 line. Still, a recent and complete leak indicates that the smartphone will have an AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a set of 50-megapixel cameras, including the Omnivision OV50H sensor as the main one.
The devices will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite, which was recently announced. The battery should have a capacity of 5,500 mAh and 90 W fast charging.
► NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 power draw
According to the publications, the Xiaomi 15 line will be fully revealed on October 29 for the Chinese market, while the global version should only be made official in the first quarter of 2025.
