It's been just over four years since the new generation of the Chevrolet Onix arrived on the World markets. Now, the anticipation is building as the model is set to undergo significant updates, a moment that enthusiasts and potential buyers have been eagerly waiting for.
Both the hatchback and the sedan will receive a mid-life facelift for the 2025 model year, and both were recently spotted, starring in the images that illustrate the article. This is the first time that the 2025 Onix has been spotted on the streets with camouflage, which usually indicates that the launch is imminent.
The models were seen in Teresina (Brazil) and were spotted by readers Marcos Michell and João Victor Alves, who sent the photos to the Auto Realidade portal's Instagram page. Although they are completely covered in camouflage, there are no grafts to disguise the shape of the new pieces.

At the front, the new headlights are narrower and have gained an LED bar that will serve as daytime running and position lights, doing away with the old piece positioned at the bottom of the bumper. Still speaking of the headlights, they will feature full LED lighting via reflectors; it remains to be seen which versions.
The bumper is also completely new and features a new shape for the central grille, made up of horizontal and vertical stripes, as well as new niches for the fog lights with a rectangular frame; the small size of the niches could indicate the presence of projectors in the fog lights or even LED reflectors.
Even the wheels are camouflaged, although it is possible to observe the design of the rims and see that they are new parts, probably with a silver or diamond finish for the more expensive versions. At the rear, the taillights of the hatchback and the sedan are also covered, sparking intrigue about the potential changes in this area.
The most exciting thing about the spy shots is that, even with the camouflage, it is possible to see that the Onix duo will follow its path in its visual identity, contradicting the rumors that it would be inspired by Chinese Chevrolet models such as the Monza or the Cavalier. These models are known for their sleek and modern designs, which led to speculation that the Onix would adopt similar features. There was also speculation that it would be similar to the restyled Spin, a model known for its practicality and versatility.
