On September 9, Apple unveiled the iPhone 16, which comes with a new processor, changes to the screens, an exclusive button to activate the cameras, and many artificial intelligence features. The crowded "It's Glowtime" event, held in the United States, also introduced the new generation of Apple Watch, the AirPods 4, and updates to the AirPods Max.
In general, the design of the phones remained similar to the previous line, except for the pill-shaped camera module in the cheaper models. Another change is the adoption of the OLED screen in all versions, instead of using the technology only in the Pro versions.

▪ iPhone 16 :
The standard model has a 6.1-inch display, the same size as the iPhone 15, but the screen now uses OLED technology. Also worth noting is the Action button, which was previously reserved for the Pro versions and can be configured for different functions, as well as the new Capture button.
This new feature works like the shutter button on DSLR cameras, detecting different levels of pressure to focus and take photos or videos, as well as to zoom in or out. Speaking of cameras, the wide (48MP) and ultra-wide (12MP) sensors are now vertically stacked and support spatial video capture for viewing in Apple Vision Pro.
The A18 Bionic processor is up to 30% faster than the iPhone 15 when it comes to gaming. For example, it supports ray tracing and delivers up to 5x faster frame rates. The device will also support big games like Resident Evil 7 and Assassin's Creed Mirage.
In terms of battery, Apple has promised that the phone will have a significant gain in battery life. However, the brand did not specify how much power it will gain. The phone will be sold in ultramarine, grayish green, pink, white, and black, in versions starting from 128 GB, with prices starting from U$799.

▪ iPhone 16 Plus :
The Plus version has not changed the size of the 6.7-inch screen from the previous line, contrary to what was expected. It uses the same A18 chip as the standard version and offers support for Apple Intelligence, Apple's AI platform, which is now available across the range and can be activated in selected countries from October.
The iPhone 16 Plus also features a dual rear camera setup (48MP + 12MP), with both sensors integrated into the new module. According to Apple, there are software optimizations to improve the quality of captured images and AI enhancements in portrait, night, and cinema modes.
Without revealing details, the company said that the battery has been improved to last longer. It is speculated that the component will have a capacity of 4,006 mAh in this variant, compared to 3,561 mAh in the standard model, maintaining 27W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
The iPhone 16 Plus has a suggested price starting at U$899 and can be found with storage starting at 128 GB. The phone will be sold in the same colors as the above version: ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black.
▪ iPhone 16 Pro :
The main new features of the generation start to appear in this version. Unlike the other two models, the iPhone 16 Pro has a larger screen, thinner bezels, and a more elegant appearance, moving to a 6.3-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.
It is powered by the A18 Pro chip with 6 CPU cores and 16 Neural Engine cores, which supports the most advanced Apple Intelligence features. The processor is 15% faster than the A17 Pro and provides improvements in the cameras, with the arrival of a 48MP ultra-wide lens replacing the old 12MP one. The phone also has a 48MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP telephoto lens.
Among the main new features of this version is the ability to record in 4K and up to 120 frames per second. The battery promises to last longer with the new chip, reaching more than a day of autonomy, while the front camera remains at 12 MP.
The iPhone 16 Pro will be available in Natural Titanium, Desert Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium colors for prices starting at U$999.

The most advanced and largest iPhone ever, the new generation Pro Max features a 6.9-inch screen with thin bezels. Like the iPhone 16 Pro, it features a Super Retina XDR display, Always-On functionality, and ProMotion.
The A18 Pro chip supports advanced AI capabilities and boosts performance by 20% over the platform that powers the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Another highlight is the internal structure designed to better dissipate heat, reducing overheating issues.
