Lamborghini finally launched the unprecedented Temerario to occupy the position of the brand's entry-level supercar, replacing the successful Huracán and pairing it with the also unprecedented Revuelto, responsible for filling the "top floor".
The Temerario is an entirely new project and, like the Revuelto, focuses on electrification to deliver more performance and reduce emissions. It features a 4.0 V8 engine with two turbochargers that work together with three electric motors, generating up to 920 hp and 81.5 kgf-m (Kilogram Force-Meter) of maximum combined power and torque.
The set is managed by an automated dual-clutch transmission with eight speeds and the traction system is full AWD. Alone, the V8 is capable of reaching up to 10,000 rpm (revolutions per minute) and delivering up to 800 hp and 74.4 kgf-m (Kilogram Force-Meter). It is the first and only engine in a production supercar to reach this speed limit, according to the brand.
Regarding the electric motors, one of them (called P1) is located between the engine and the transmission, while the other two are on the front axle and are responsible for moving the front wheels when the system detects the need for four-wheel drive. Each of them generates up to 150 hp of maximum power at peak work.
All of this allows the Temerario to go from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 343km/h. Furthermore, CO2 emissions are up to 50% lower compared to the Huracán, which was equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.2 V10 engine without any electrification.

It is worth
remembering that the Temerario is a PHEV, plug-in hybrid; that is, the
electrical package is powered by a 3.8kWh battery that can be recharged by the
V8 engine itself or by plugging it in, in addition to regenerative braking. The
brand, however, did not provide information on estimated autonomy in purely
electric mode.
Other qualities of the Temerario include a more spacious and comfortable cabin. According to the company, people up to 2 meters tall can comfortably accommodate themselves inside, even if they are wearing a helmet. Three screens are divided between the instrument panel and the multimedia system for the passenger.
Externally, the 20-inch wheels at the front and 21 at the rear stand out, wearing Bridgestone tires measuring 255/35 R20 at the front and 325/30 R21 at the rear. There is also a package called Allegerita that adds skirts, spoilers and other carbon fiber parts to improve aerodynamics and reduce total weight.
Furthermore, the Temerario project included extra care with aerodynamics and cooling. Compared to the Huracán EVO, the new super sports car generates up to 103% more downward aerodynamic force at the rear and can reach 158% more force when equipped with the Allegerita package.
The bad part is that all this evolution comes at a price. The new Temerario will start at no less than US$357,000, which represents more than 100,000 US dollars considering what a Huracán Tecnica costs at 0km. The options are also quite expensive, costing more than 78 thousand dollars. Like all Lamborghini, it will be for (very) few.
