One of the most
popular games of all time, Grand Theft Auto 5, may be about to be made
available in the PC Games Pass catalog. At least that's what leaker Tez2
reported in a post on X (formerly Twitter) this Monday (29).

GTA 5 has been available on Xbox Game Pass in the past but has been limited to consoles. Now, according to the insider, who has a vast track record when it comes to rumors about Rockstar, the title is returning to the Microsoft service, but this time exclusively for PCs. Still, according to him, despite being offered to subscribers on the Redmond giant's platform, the game will require Rockstar Games Launcher to run.
Despite being the second-best-selling game of all time, behind only Minecraft, it is possible that a good portion of players have not yet had the opportunity to try GTA 5. Furthermore, making the game available on PC Game Pass would be a way to create anticipation for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, scheduled for the second half of 2025.
GTA 5 has a long history of promotions
Grand Theft Auto 5 was released in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, which recently had their digital stores closed. Two years later, the game arrived on consoles and has since gone on sale numerous times.

Promotions like this contribute to keeping GTA 5 among the most popular in history. In total, the Rockstar Games title has sold more than 200 million copies and is always among the most played on digital platforms and most watched on Twitch.
