There are many rumors about a Bloodborne remaster with the long-awaited 60 FPS option, or even about its potential arrival on computers. Well, it seems that the team responsible for the ShadPS4 emulator has made incredible progress in bringing FromSoftware's classic to the PC — and can now run the game at 144 FPS on more robust machines.
Making Bloodborne run at 144 FPS on high-end PCs is already quite an achievement, even with image problems and the absence of some textures. However, most of the time, the frame rate is between 60 and 120 FPS — which is certainly good news.
But the BrutalSam
channel needed a really powerful PC to achieve the feat. According to the
information in the video below, an Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card, I9-13900K processor and 32 GB of RAM were used.
Despite the clear problems with the visuals, such as the absence of shadows and textures, the video shows the hunter walking through the streets of Yarnham without any issues using the ShadPS4 emulator.
Although its
performance is less than ideal, and considering the program could barely open
the game recently, it looks like a playable version of Bloodborne on PC is
closer than ever!

♦ Youtuber also managed to run Bloodborne on Steam Deck
In addition to the incredible milestone on the PC, the YouTuber from the Deck Wizard channel managed to run Bloodborne even on the Steam Deck — also through ShadPS4. Check it out in the video below:
As you can see in the video, the initial area of Bloodborne seems to have a good reproduction for most of the gameplay — despite some problems with textures and shadows here and there. Just like the PS4 version, the FromSoftware game is running at 30 FPS on the Steam Deck.
However, the demonstration worsens considerably from the moment the player advances and takes to the streets of Yharnam. This section is really compromised, with the lack of visual assets, bugs and other problems — it's really a mess.
However, the ShadPS4 team is making great progress towards making Bloodborne fully playable on PC. Will this happen by the end of 2024?
