BYD and Uber announced this Wednesday (31) a global partnership whose main objective is to facilitate access to electric cars and, with this, put at least 100,000 more vehicles on the streets of the world's leading markets.
The Chinese manufacturer and the private transport company confirmed the alliance to offer drivers access to special prices and financing for BYD vehicles that will run on the Uber platform.

According to Uber's management, BYD was chosen because Chinese cars have lower maintenance and repair costs and are well suited for ridesharing "due to the wide range of models, superior battery performance and excellent quality of construction."
"This
collaboration marks a new era in the electrification of urban mobility, and we
look forward to seeing our cutting-edge EVs become a common sight on city
streets around the world," summarized Stella Li, Executive Vice President
of BYD and CEO of BYD Americas.
