Although Apple TV+'s list of August premieres is more contained than that of other streaming platforms, the service's few new features are aimed at different audiences.

The main highlight of the month is the launch of the second season of Pachinko, a drama series based on Min Jin Lee's novel of the same name. Highly acclaimed by critics and the public, the production follows the footsteps of four generations of a Korean family from 1915 to 1989.

Another title that arrives on the platform in August is attracting attention: the action and comedy feature film The Instigators. Starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck, the film follows the footsteps of a desperate father and an ex-convict who must join forces to steal a corrupt politician's ill-gotten gains.

► Apple TV+ is ready to compete with the growing range of ad-supported plans
